Meaning: Saint Sadasiva Brahmendra, a composer of 18th Century became well-known for his 23 compositions in Sanskrit, which enrich the tradition of Bhajana Sampradaya of South India. It is believed that after renunciation, he became a disciple of Paramasivendra Saraswathi, the 57th pontiff of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham. Some of his well-known compositions include "Manasa Sancharare", "Bhajare Gopalam", "Smara varam varam", "Gayati Vanamali", "Bhajare Yadhunatham", "Khelati mama hrdaye" etc. Dr. Mangalampalli Balamurali Krishna sang his kritis depicting the meaning of each of these kritis. In this Kriti, the composer enjoys the presence of the Lord in his heart duly playing. While doing so, the saint praises the Lord for his qualities and deeds. |

Charanam : The Lord Rama who shared the life with Seetha maatha, the daughter of the king of Videha, who lived and walked through the streets of Ayodhya; the Lord who is the protector and savior of the kingdom of Paramhasaas (the saint who reaches the ultimate stage of realization of the soul is called Paramahasa) and the Lord who is the embodiment of Truth (Satyam) and Wisdom (Gnaanam), is playing in my heart. |
