The Goal of Spiritual Sadhana - Swami Ramdas |
|
The object of all spiritual endeavor is to attain eternal peace. light and joy by communion with the Supreme Being. We may call that Being as Father or Mother. This does not mean that God is a person. It only signifies that the Supreme Being stands for the universal Power, which is also the highest Truth. Mother is the great Cosmic Shakti that activates all beings and things in this world-manifestation. The universe is the dynamic aspect of God. It is the play of the Divine Mother. To behold Mahakali – the Mother – everywhere is surely to see Him. For, the two are one and inseparable. Shakti and Shakta are one. God is always with you and within you. To be conscious of Him is to roll in supreme ecstasy. It is an experience of unending bliss. |

All relative visions of lights and forms have to be transcended before the absolute Reality can be realized. Do not attach importance to the queer creations of a disturbed mind. If you want to realize your immortal Self you ought to rise beyond all such relative visions. This does not mean that they are bad or harmful. They are surely milestones on the spiritual path. But the aspirant should neither make much of them, nor cling to them as of very great importance. By complete self-surrender you have to merge your individuality in the supreme Cosmic Spirit. |
