Activities in November 2007 |
|
The most important event of November was the visit of Justice Ashok Bhan, Supreme Court Judge and Chairman of National Legal Services Authority. He was in Hyderabad on the invitation of Alpha Foundation. He interacted with the children of ACL at MS Maqtha where the seventh Clinical Legal-aid Camp had been organized and attended a specially organized function at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad where he met a group of Para Legal Volunteers trained by the Foundation with the help of AP Legal Services Authority. |

Three more ACLs in Hyderabad were started at Chatrapati Shivaji Nagar, Erragadda with 50 children, Sanjay Nagar, Erragadda with 60 children and Afzal Sagar, Nampally with 50 children. However, Sai Nagar ACL was merged with IRS, Mehdipatnam. |

Outside Hyderabad, one ACL at Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Pune and the other one at Vyasarapadi, Chennai have been started. |
