Then, since we have a great high priest
into the heavens passed,
Jesus the Son of God, let us
hold our profession fast.

For we an high priest do not have
our need that never sees,
nor with the feeling is untouched
of our infirmities:

But was in all points tempted sore
as we, yet without sin.
Then let us therefore by him come,
and boldly enter in,

So that before the throne of grace
we mercy may obtain,
and find the grace in time of need
that will our hearts sustain.
