Who is a Saint? - Swami Sundara Chaitanyananda

An ordinary person in life smiles when he is healthy, prosperous and when other conditions are pleasant and favourable.  He becomes depressed when he faces difficulties and problems in life.  But a saint keeps on smiling during pleasant as well as painful situations in life since he derives ever lasting happiness from the fountain of the self within.  His perennial joy does not depend upon outward circumstances. That is why, a saint is a God-realized soul who is serene and cheerful always and radiates joy and peace.
