Meaning: This is one of the famous renditions of Saint Annamacharya, an ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara. He wrote kritis using the regional chaste telugu language. This kriti sung in Sudhadhanyasi Raagam describes the greatness of praising Lord Vishnu. The saint finds that Lord Venkateswara is the same Vishnu who appeared in other incarnations in the earlier times.

Pallavi: Hey! Please listen to the story of Lord Vishnu (Vishnu Kathaa) which describes His greatness. This is going to be a life long support to you.

Charanam 1: This Vishnu Kathaa is one of the oldest and sung in daily rituals like morning, afternoon and evening prayers (called Sandhya Vandanam). This is the one which has been sung in the streets of all places from times immemorial by Saints like Narada and others.

Charanam 2: This cleansing Vishnu Kathaa was revealed by the great Saint and Poet Vyaasa Maharshi and as it has become so close to the human beings you would listen to it wherever you seek to.

Charanam 3: This Vishnu Kathaa wass sung by the Gopikaas while churning the buttermilk and it is the same Vishnu Kathaa which praises Lord Venkateswara.
