Meaning: Bhakta Ramadasa is regarded as one of the greatest devotees of Lord Rama.  He is one of the greaetest lyricists (also known as Vaggeyakaras) in Telugu.  His kirtanas are full of devotion, surrender and supplication to the Lord.  When he was jailed on charges of misusing the funds of the Governmetn and constructing a temple for Lord Rama.  His unstinted confidence on Lord Rama as the savior did result in changing the mind of the King Tanish and history has recorded that Lord Rama repaid the amoung payable by Bhakta Ramadas and the King immediately ordered for releasing Ramadas from the jail. In this compostion, Bhakta Ramadas claims that Lord Rama could not be recognized by the contemporaries as God but looked at Him from their own perceptions instead of realizing that he was GOD.

Pallavi: (Bhakta Ramada questions) Oh! Lord Rama! Is it possible for gods like Brahma to decipher and understand your Maya (meaning illusion).

Anupallavi :  ‘Kamaarivinutha gunadhama’ means You have the qualities praised by Lord Siva (Kamaari), ‘Kuvalayadala Syama’ means You hve the colour (black) of black lotus; my father.

Charanam 1 : This charanam refers to the incarnation of Lord Vishnu in the form of Rama and explains how his contemporaries mistook him to various forms of human beings and not GOD.  King Dasratha mistook you to his son, King Sugreeva mistook you to a friend, all the army of Sugreeva (i.e., monkeys) mistook you to a warrior with lot of bodily strength.  All the other kings also mistook you to a great King; but none of them could understand and realize that you the God and were capable of purifying from their sins

Charanam 2 : This charanam refers to the incarnation of Lord Vishnu in the form of Krishna. All the human beings thought that you were human being, all the yadavaas mistook you to their leader, and all the gopikaas mistook you to al handsome male: None of them could understand that you.  Oh! Lord who saved the Gajendra, Oh! Lord seated in Bhadradri (now called Bhadrachalam) as the Paramaathma.
