The Panchasheela of Service - J P Vaswani |

|
What is it to serve? We talk of the way of service. We read and hear of the spirit of service. It was the great good fortune of some of us to have seen with our eyes the Spirit of service. |

The bodiless spirit of service put on a body and descended into this world of mud and matter—and lived and moved as a man amongst men. It was our rare fortune to have come in contact with him, to have sat at his feet, to have gazed into the liquid depths of his compassion-filled eyes, to have drunk in the inspiration that flowed from his lips, to have been blessed by his hands of mercy—hands that were never tired in serving others, in giving relief to the poor and broken ones. We called him "Beloved Dada". "Da" means "to give". Dada is he who gives and gives and ever gives, he who is never tired of giving. |
