Efficacy of Prayer -Swami Swahananda |
With the advancement of science and increasing secularization of life, it has been contended that man has lost his unquestioning faith in Almighty God and in the necessity of praying to Him. |
Certainly it is difficult to provide tangible proof of the existence of God, which is immediately verifiable. But several points may be noted which will amply show the efficacy of prayer. |
The most empirical argument in favor of prayer is that it relieves the mind of tension, the natural concomitant of a life of hurry and worry. |
Prayer neutralizes mental repressions and purifies the subconscious. It releases greater hope and energy and enables a man to face life squarely. |
