The Little Secret - Dr. Sarada

A friend once mused, ‘You don’t seem to write about anything other than Self-knowledge or self-enquiry. Why?’ ‘What else can one or should one write about?’ ‘Oh! Many things, the course of right action, being good, caring for people, truth, duty, better use of the mind, so many many things you can write about other than Self-knowledge.’

Perhaps she didn’t know the little secret and I didn’t get to tell her then. The secret like all secrets, is also a public secret really. Anyone who knows about Self-knowledge knows this secret. But between me and you, perhaps we don’t quite believe its true. Otherwise there’s no chance that we would ignore the search for Self-knowledge as we do. For those of us who may not know, or knowing, wish now to ascertain whether it is the same secret or any other, whose curiosity must be quite aroused and agitated at all this beating around the bush, let’s come to the point. The secret of Self-knowledge is that it is all inclusive, it can give one anything one desires and more, much much more.
