In Songs of Annamayya - M S Rajajee

Sri Annamacharya has left behind about 32,000 songs, mostly on Lord Venkatesvara. Of the above songs, at least 150 songs are believed to be on Lord Narasimha. Sri Annamacharya, left home at a tender age of five years, walked to Tirumala and sang on the Lord. He took up residence on the hill. Afterwards, he visited various shrines, including Ahobilam, called by the rural folk as Obulam. He sang on His dear Lord, Obulesudu. To Annamayya, there was no difference between Lord Narasimha and Lord Srinivasa. Hence, his songs were addressed to Sri Venkata Narasimha.

Readers are requested to peruse a book (in English) exclusively on Annamayya, titled "Annamayya on Lord Narasimha" written by Dr.Ramesh and myself, published by Sanka Graphics Private Limited, on the occasion of the 10th year of Ascension of His Holiness, the 45th Jeer of Ahobila Math (2001).
