Ragam: Hindolam; Talam: Adi

Pallavi

Kattedura Vaikuntham Kaanaachaina Konda
Tettalaaye Mahimale Tirumala Konda

Charanam 1

Vedamule Silalai Velasinadee Konda
Yedesa Punya RaasuleYerulainadi Konda
Gaadili Brahmaadi Lokamula Konalu Konda
Sreedevu dundeti Seshaadri Konda

Meaning: This one of the famous renditions of Sri Annamaachaarya. The surroundings of Tirumala Hill and the main hills leading to the Tirumala Hill namely Seshaadri, Anjanaadri etc are described as the manifestations of various gods, vedas, rishis etc as perceived by him. It is possible only for great devotees who see such things in the materialistic world. For an ordinary man, who is not a devotee or who is not charged up with the feelings of the presence of the Lord everywhere, the same hills appeal to him like a scenic beauty. But the same hills mean differently to a great devotee like Sri Annamaachaarya and he describes ……

Pallavi: Hi! Just opposite to you is the hill which is nothing but the Vaikuntham, the abode of Lord Vishnu; it is the same manifestation of the greatness of Him in the form of Tirumala Hill. (Konda means Hill).

Charanam 1: All the stones on this hill are the Vedas, all the Brookes are the pourings of good deeds, the edge of the Brahma Loka is this hill and it is this Seshaadri hill that Lord has chosen to stay in.
