In the world of spirituality, the 18 Siddhas occupy a unique place. They are not concerned with philosophical pursuits, but advocate a practical and disciplined approach to spiritual insights through experience.

On the methodology to focus mental and spiritual energies upon untouched areas of cosmic consciousness through profound "interiorization", they can speak with authority. Their path takes the seeker to Pranayama, the arousal of Kundalini and inner illumination by which the soul obtains "Sivahood".

When the seeker learns to subdue his senses, the doors are open for him to partake of the Kundalini experience. The Siddhas lead him, step-by-step, in the discipline of Kundalini Yoga. As the seeker ascends the Sushumna nadi, his spiritual awareness expands; the Divine responds to his earnestness by enfolding him, providing him with cosmic consciousness, the summit of spiritual experience. According to the Siddhas, an illuminative godly life is within the reach of every aspiring and committed seeker.
