Dimensions of Death - Sri Sarvari |
Part II |
A yogi advances well when the breathing comes to a low pace. Finally he reaches a stage where breathing is felt unnecessary. Then only he can launch into Nothingness. Then only he can attain what is called Silence. Then only he reaches Nil state. Then his mind attains stillness and chillness. No thoughts are produced from the mind. All of them happen one after the other. We need not try for any one in particular, but one follows the other. What is needed – is Total Surrender. Nothing but surrender would help. A lot of wisdom comes out of that stillness. Truth flashes out of Silence. Real Light comes out of darkness. That is a mystic happening. It is a mystic formula. It is not a work to do, or to be done by our effort. Thus, derived Omniscient knowledge is Real. That Omnipresent Light is Divine. That helps a yogi to become pure and perfect. |

Generally in the beginning days every yoga practitioner gets confused and perturbed. The reason for confusion is fear, doubt and suspicion. Moreover, the fear of death haunts him silently. Misunderstanding is another cause for fear. Compart-mental surrender leaves one in doubt. Lack of Self-knowledge envelops suspicion. Many sadhakas at this stage got stuck up and never progress. They do not relax properly. So they can not progress. Spiritual growth needs full freedom and total surrender. Even the fear of death disturbs meditation. Death is the shadow of the Self. Once a yogi comes out of fear he could reach the level of Higher Conscious-ness. Who would help in this venture? No body. One must be brave, one must be fearless. One’s own Self would help in Self-Realization. |
What exactly is needed? Inside search. A sincere probe into the Self. A jump into Nothingness. Deep search into the Self results in self analysis. It simply drives into Super – consciousness. Our Love for God becomes Love for the Self. Our Love for the Self becomes Universal Love. The same love transforms as Cosmic Energy. So we conclude that the basic material for yoga is love. Love must be the basis of life. The stream of life flows through many channels, namely affection, liking, compassion, kindness etc. Pure Love demands no physical attachment or closeness. Sex plays no role in Pure Love in spiritual life, Love transforms into compassion. |
