Meaning: This kriti sung by Saint Thyaagaraja has a special importance in the life of Thyaagaraja. The saint was worshiping the idols of Sri Rama, Lakshmana and Seetha in his daily prayers to the Lord. His brother was jealous of the honors and wealth offered by the King to Thyaagaraja (which he politely rejected) and one day unmindful of the depth of devotion of Thyaagaraja, he threw the idols into the river Kaveri without the knowledge of the latter. Thyaagaraja had gone mad after coming to know that his Lord was missing from his prayer room; searched all the places he could; but finally he found them in the river Kaveri. Then he sang this famous kriti, Oh I found out the Lord.....

Pallavi: I have found the Lord Rama

Charanam1: The Lord who was born in the dynasty of the Sun God and who married the Goddess Seetha ... I found him.

Charanam 2: Bharatha, Lakshmana and Shatrughna are worshiping the Lord and His servant Hanuman is pressing the feet of the Lord ... I found him.

Charanam 3: Great warriors like Sugreeva and others are acknowledging the greatness of Rama, and the Lord who is praised by me (Thyaagaraja) ... I found him.
