This is one of the famous kirtanas of  Sri Thyagaraja Swamy  in which his shanthi form of bhakthi towards Lord Rama was depicted.  This is sung in Mohana Raga.  The two important swaras of Mohana Raga namely GA and RI are very frequently used in his kirtana. Meaning

Pallavi: Shri Thyagaraja invokes Lord Rama as Prana Natha (and this word is sung at higher nodes in the raga) which means one who controls the very life itself and asks hve You come all the way on foot to take care of me.

Anu Pallavi :  I have understood the secret that the ultimate goal is to see the Lotus-eyed Lord and hve You come all the way to save such a person lie me.  (This meaning can be drawn by joining the Anu Pallavi with the Pallavi.)

Charanam : Oh Head of the Gods, with your body/s colour looking like that of a sapphire, wearing garlands of pearls, holding the bow in hand along with Goddess Sita Matha, // Have you come all the way on foot to take care of me.
